Thrinno feedback

Metal 3D printing is a complex technology. It requires to take into account completely other design rules compared to e.g. milling. Volume is expensive and can cause...  (more info)

Automatic support removal

Klaeger and Thrinno join the forces to automatically remove support from 3D metal printed parts. Klaeger, an expert in saw technology since 1928, sees the great benefit of automatic support removal and is working hard to achieve this using a combination of their high-quality saws and a robot arm. Thrinno is collaborating to realize the driving software for this innovative machine. The user provides STL files of the printed model and the support structure. The software recognizes points at a safe distance from the model to remove the support and generates a toolpath to drive the robot arm without colliding with the printed parts on the buildplate. More information will be available soon.
